Jay designed the entire Pittville Parade terrace, although he only built Nos. 2 and 4 by 1828. His bankruptcy, which occured then with the bank failure, was later discharged in 1830 when No. 2 was sold. The remaining units were completed later and by other builders who departed slightly from Jay's original design.
